Catherine Ives

Background

Catherine completed her Bachelor of Biomedicine (Hons) degree at the University of Melbourne in 2021, having majored in Physiology and completed her research project at the Burnet Institute within the Healthy Mothers Healthy Babies Project. 

She is particularly interested in maternal and child health outcomes in low resource settings and is currently undertaking her PhD through Monash University. Her research project aims to understand the burden of malnutrition and infections in young children (under 5), and how they interact and contribute to child growth failure in a high burden setting of East New Britain Province, PNG.
