Background
Alicia Ferguson is a midwife and public health professional with over a decade of experience in clinical care, education and international development. She has worked across New Zealand, Australia, India and the Pacific in diverse midwifery roles, including community-based care, hospital settings and midwifery education.
Alicia is currently completing her PhD at Deakin University, which focuses on co-design a clinical competence maintenance model for midwife educators in India. Her work at Burnet includes midwifery education, simulation-based learning, evaluation and learning, and midwifery models of care.
