We’re reviewing World Health Organization (WHO) HIV surveillance guidelines and recommendations published since 2000.
In this project, you'll examine major shifts in surveillance practice and their implications for HIV control and elimination efforts between 2000 and 2025.
The study will analyse developments in:
- case reporting
- sentinel surveillance
- bio-behavioural surveillance
- key population monitoring
- HIV incidence estimation
- the use of routine programmatic data.
Findings will highlight evolving surveillance priorities and their role in measuring progress towards global HIV targets and epidemic control.
