Background

Tim is Digital Experience Manager at Burnet Institute, where he leads the Institute's website, social media and content strategy. He works with researchers and professional staff to help ensure Burnet's research reaches the audiences that matter most, from policymakers and collaborators to donors and the wider community.

Tim has more than 15 years' experience in digital communications and audience engagement across the medical research, government and media sectors. Before joining Burnet, he held senior digital roles with organisations including the BBC, where he led digital strategy for BBC Earth and Walking with Dinosaurs, as well as Parks Victoria and the City of Boroondara.

Originally trained as a zoologist, Tim is passionate about helping researchers communicate their work beyond academia and increase the visibility, reach and impact of their research through digital channels.
