HIV Prevention Cohort

Past project

Starting in 2008, the HIV Prevention group surveyed gay men in Victoria as part of an evaluation of an array of HIV prevention health promotion campaigns.

Objective

This online cohort study is now monitoring community-level changes in knowledge, attitudes and behaviours as they relate to the promotion and scale-up of new HIV prevention approaches, such as PrEP and treatment-as-prevention.

This behavioural monitoring will provide valuable data to help refine HIV prevention policy and practice in a new HIV biomedical prevention era.
