Background
Mona Kheng has a background as a pharmacist with more than seven years of experience working in both the government and non-profit sectors in Cambodia. He has worked with Cambodian healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary team to promote the rational use of antimicrobials and microbiology laboratory utilization, as well as to implement antimicrobial resistance and consumption surveillance and antimicrobial stewardship programs.
Mona Kheng has an interest in providing capacity building of healthcare professional staff in the area of medical microbiology and infectious disease clinical pharmacy to ensure the appropriate use of antimicrobials in resource-limited settings. His other professional interest is One Health approach to promote multi-sectoral responses to combat antimicrobial resistance in low- and middle-income countries.
