After working as a physiotherapist in Sydney and California, Amanda completed a Master of Public Health degree with a specialisation in program evaluation. Her key research interests include disability health, and maternal and child health.
As part of her public health degree, she undertook a research project with the Burnet’s Global Women’s and Newborn’s Health group, performing a scoping review looking at women with disabilities experiences of maternity care.
Amanda will begin her PhD in 2022 with the Burnet and University of Melbourne, to review Australia’s postnatal care services and compare these to international standards of care.
