Background

Angus joins Burnet Institute’s Public Affairs department with extensive experience in media production and management.

An ABC cadetship was the start of more than a decade with the national broadcaster in a range of roles including radio and television journalist in the Melbourne newsroom, sports editor and presenter, reporter and producer at Radio Australia and producer at 7.30 Report.

After time off to travel and freelance, Angus joined Sportal Australia in a senior editorial role, helping to develop sportal.com.au into one of Australia’s most popular sports websites, along with building and managing sites for clients such as the AFL, NRL, ARU, FFA, Cricket Australia, Tennis Australia and SBS.

More recently, Angus was head of video production in the Melbourne office of Perform and comes to his current role after a stint as Communications and Marketing Manager at Penington Institute.
