Background
Zachary joined the Burnet in 2023 as a student and finished the year as a Research Assistant for the Alcohol and other Drugs team.
He previously worked at an alcohol and other drug treatment site which instilled in him his passion for harm reduction initiatives and their potential for mitigating the adverse harms associated with illicit substance use. This work experience prompted him to undertake an Honours degree in Biomedical Science with Monash University, where he completed a thesis exploring Australian attitudes towards supervised injecting facilities in 2023.
