Background

Paul has held several policy and leadership roles in the public sector including at NSW Health (i.e., mental health and drug & alcohol, and community health), the NSW Dept of Premier & Cabinet (with a focus on health), the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (as Director of Policy), and the NSW Office of the Public Guardian.

Prior to working in government, Paul worked in non-profit and local authority organisations in HIV/AIDS, mental health, and disability, in the UK and Australia.

In more recent years, Paul has been working as a consultant around skills programs for executives and senior leaders across a range of sectors.
