Naomi Beard

PhD student
Background

Naomi has a background in epidemiology and has been working as a researcher in the alcohol and other drug sector. Her major research interests involve the overlap of behavioural and socio-cultural elements, and their relationship with infectious diseases.

Naomi is commencing her PhD within the Infectious Disease Implementation Science working group under the supervision of Prof Mark Stoové, A/Prof Alisa Pedrana, and Dr Bridget Draper. Her PhD focuses on the CUTTS HepC project, looking at trials that will generate demand for new and underused hepatitis C prevention tools.
