Background

Hans completed his Bachelor of Science Advanced with Honours at Monash University in 2018, with a double major in immunology and genetics. His honours project was completed with the Infection, Inflammation, and Innate Immunity Group at the Burnet Institute, with a focus on eliminating HIV-infected macrophages using NK cells.

He is currently a Monash PhD student working with Dr Anna Hearps to continue his research into NK cell mediated killing of HIV-infected macrophages.
