Fenella McAndrew

Mathematical Modeller
Background

Fenella completed a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics in 2017 and a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics in 2020, both at the University of Melbourne. Her master's research was centred on the use of quantum computers to solve classically hard optimisation problems. After her Masters, Fenella went on to work at Arup as a rail operations specialist. Her focus was on the optimisation and modelling of train timetables. Currently, Fenella is a Modeller in the Modelling and Biostatistics team working on the "COVASIM: Modelling COVID-19” project.
