Background

Christabelle Adjoyan is project director of the Pathway to Clean Indoor Air program at Burnet Institute, leading research focused on evaluating and implementing practical interventions to enhance indoor air quality.

Before joining Burnet, Christabelle held several executive positions within the Victorian Government, including leadership roles within the Department of Health and mRNA Victoria. As Director of mRNA Projects, she led projects advancing sovereign vaccine manufacturing to strengthen pandemic preparedness. At the Victorian Department of Health, Christabelle led reforms in mental health and drug policy, primary care and community health, notably contributing to Victoria’s COVID-19 response as Director of Public Health and Director of the COVID-19 Vaccination program.

Christabelle has a strong background in policy development and government relations, having served in senior roles to Victorian and Commonwealth Ministers across health, community services and Indigenous affairs.
