Background
Aki supports communications and website projects at Burnet to help researchers make an impact in a compelling and inclusive way. That includes storytelling and plain language writing, accessibility, UX content design, data-driven internal campaigns, and content and project management.
Before joining Burnet, Aki studied and worked on Quinnipiac lands in Turtle Island or what is now called the United States. She has worked in a variety of settings to support education and research outcomes, including an art museum, prison education program, public school, university publishing press, startups and online.
