Unvaccinated or 'zero dose’ children are vulnerable to disease. They're at risk of diphtheria, tetanus and whooping cough, which can cause serious illness. But a routine series of vaccines can protect them.
To improve vaccine uptake, we’re partnering with local health workers. We've made progress since 2022, but there's still work to do. We aim to increase vaccination coverage for zero-dose children by 25%. Together with our local partners, we've have identified key barriers to vaccination. We are now implementing a number of strategies in response. Those strategies include:
