Background
Rana is a public health researcher whose work focuses on advancing women’s and adolescents’ sexual and reproductive health and rights in low- and middle-income settings. Her research bridges qualitative and quantitative methods to explore how social, health system and policy factors shape access to reproductive health care and information.
Rana has led and contributed to studies on maternal and adolescent health in Indonesia, Thailand, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Bangladesh, strengthening evidence to inform equitable health programs and policies. She has also co-implemented school-based initiative promoting adolescent sexual and reproductive rights and has extensive experience working with government and community partners to translate research into action.
