Pinkan Pertiwi Kariodimedjo

Master's Student

Background

Pinkan is a master’s student at the University of Melbourne and is part of the Malaria Immunity and Vaccines group at Burnet Institute. She is supervised by Professor James Beeson and Dr Herbert Opi. Pinkan has contributed to malaria surveillance studies in Indonesia, and has delved in malaria parasite genetic population studies at Exeins Health Initiative, Indonesia. Pinkan has had experience in protein expression for vaccine development during the COVID-19 pandemic, and is keen to advance her knowledge in malaria immunity research.
