Kaba Ula

Project Officer, Fleming Fund Country Grant Papua New Guinea

Background

Kaba Ula is a trained pharmacist who currently works with the Fleming Fund country grant in Papua New Guinea. She joined Burnet Institute’s Papua New Guinea office in 2020 as the medical procurement and equipment officer and has since taken on broader responsibilities across procurement, project coordination, and support to strengthening national antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance. She works across multiple sectors in Papua New Guinea to advocate for AMR surveillance and promote cross-sector collaboration for One Health and AMR governance.

Kaba is a member of Burnet Institute’s Papua New Guinea senior leadership team and Papua New Guinea's executive team, where she contributes to strategic planning, operational oversight, and initiatives to strengthen health system capacity across the country.

She also represents the nongovernment organisation sector on the Pharmaceutical Society of Papua New Guinea and is passionate about empowering pharmacists within the Papua New Guinea health system.
