Josh is a PhD student with Monash University and Burnet Institute, supervised by Professor James Beeson, Dr Herbert Opi, and Dr Lee Yeoh.
His research focuses on antibodies generated with natural exposure to malaria and their role in protective immunity. He investigates how antibodies to merozoites, the parasite stage that infects red blood cells, contribute to protection from malaria, and how these protective responses develop and are maintained over time.
Josh's research is conducted with the hope that it can be used to guide the design of more efficacious malaria vaccines.
2020: BSc (Hons), John Curtin School of Medical Research, Australian National University, Australia.
