Daniel is a healthcare analytics leader with extensive experience in public health, data and technology. He specialises in delivering innovative solutions to complex health challenges. His career spans roles in public health, government and management consulting.
Daniel was a Director at the Victorian Department of Health during the COVID-19 pandemic, where he led data intelligence teams, providing evidence-based advice that informed critical public health decisions. He also oversaw the development and implementation of systems for surveillance and policy planning. In this role, Daniel played a pivotal part in shaping Victoria's public health response through strategic analysis and collaboration with health executives.
Before his work at the Department of Health, Daniel managed consulting projects at Paxton Partners, delivering health system analytics and health economic solutions for government and healthcare clients across Australia.

To understand this ongoing problem better, experts at Burnet have developed a comprehensive analysis of deaths caused by the COVID-19 pandemic in Australia. This report evaluates mortality patterns in Australia and comparable countries. We analyse these trends during 2 main periods: the early phase (2020-21) and the later phase (2022 onwards).
