Anna has degrees in Psychology, Public Health and is an admitted solicitor in both Australia and the United States.
She worked as a research officer at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre at the University of New South Wales while completing her law degree. Once admitted to practice, she worked as a lawyer with the Human Rights team at Legal Aid New South Wales where she had a practice and was also seconded to develop and implement a pro bono legal program for refugees seeking asylum in Australia.
On leaving Legal Aid, she was the Deputy CEO and National Division Manager for the Australasian Society for HIV Medicine (ASHM) which implemented educational programs for medical practitioners around Australia in HIV, Viral hepatitis and Sexually Transmitted Infections as well as working with Federal and State governments to implement evidence-based policy.
Anna left ASHM to take up a fellowship position at the O'Neill Institute for National and Global Health Law at the Georgetown Law school in Washington, D.C. where she managed a range of projects and writing responsibilities.
Anna joined the Burnet as part of the Modelling and Biostatistics working group in 2017 and has been managing a portfolio of contracts and projects with that team ever since.
