Yi is currently the Project Manager for COMBAT AMR, working in partnership with government, National Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Committees and public health counterparts in Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Fiji and Samoa. The project supports the prevention, diagnosis, surveillance and management of AMR pathogens under the framework of existing National AMR Action Plans and priorities.
Joining in January 2021, Yi worked in the Tuberculosis Elimination and Implementation Science Working Group, supporting activities in Papua New Guinea and Indonesia.
Prior to working with the Burnet Institute, Yi had six years of experience in the International Community Development sector, focusing on the Asia-Pacific and East Africa. Spending 2017-2019 in Tanzania, Yi has a strong interest in community development with a focus on gender equity.
