Shaun Coutts

Surveillance Officer / Applied Epidemiology Scholar


Shaun has a professional background in public and environmental health, with research interests including infectious disease and environmental health epidemiology - particularly environmental and social drivers of disease transmission, diseases at the human-animal interface, and neglected tropical diseases.

He is currently undertaking Australia’s field epidemiology training program - the Master of Philosophy (Applied Epidemiology) - through the Australian National University, with a joint placement between Burnet Institute and the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services.
