Dr Nick Scott and his team use maths to outsmart deadly infectious diseases and save vulnerable lives.
Mati is a BSc student at the Palmer’s Laboratory working on a project in HIV immune-metabolism.
He is working with an investigation of metabolic dysfunctions in the context of chronic HIV infections and ageing.
The project he is involved in is a continuation of Dr. Palmer’s investigation of cellular dysfunction present in affected HIV patients.
The ultimate goal is to further understand the complexity of co-morbidities present in HIV-affected individuals.
