Background

Emma is an infectious diseases physician, with research expertise in mathematical and statistical modelling.

She has developed a number of models of infectious diseases transmission both in hospital settings and in the community. She has used Bayesian Inference extensively to describe infectious disease transmission dynamics, and uses simulation to explore policy.

Epidemics and pathogens that Emma has applied modelling to include influenza, including pandemic influenza modelling, SARS, antibiotic resistant pathogens, including MRSA, VRE and Acinetobacter and tuberculosis.
