Burnet Director and CEO Professor Brendan Crabb and Burnet Patron Dame Quentin Bryce AD CVO
Burnet Institute Patron and former Governor General Dame Quentin Bryce AD CVO has visited the Institute during a trip to Melbourne.
Director and CEO Professor Brendan Crabb updated Dame Quentin, who’s also the Patron-in-Chief of the Sir Zelman Cowen Fellowship Fund, on Burnet’s latest initiatives.
“We’re extremely fortunate and proud to have Dame Quentin as a Patron of the Institute,” Professor Crabb said.
“We’re a natural fit as an organisation that’s aligned with her work and interest in gender equity and empowering women, especially those in poor communities.”
“It’s great that Dame Quentin is really interested in the broader work of Burnet, including the Sir Zelman Cowen Fellowship Fund.”
Named in honour of Australia’s 19th Governor General, the Sir Zelman Cowen Fellowship Fund assists in the development of new, specific and sustainable research and implementation programs to improve the health of women and children.
