Include a Charity Week - Special Luncheon Event

Iacw 2018

Each of us has a legacy. Have you thought about yours?

Include a Charity Week 2018 encourages more Australians to leave a gift in their Will to a charity after they’ve provided for their loved ones.

While donations are very important to Burnet Institute, gifts in Wills open new opportunities to advance innovative long-term research initiatives. If you share our vision – Equity Through Better Health – we encourage you to consider leaving a bequest for Burnet Institute.

Laurence O'Keefe is a longstanding supporter who has decided to leave a bequest in his Will so that Burnet “can continue its good work well into the future”.

BURNET’S INCLUDE A CHARITY LUNCHEON

In recognition of Include a Charity week 2018, you are invited to join Professor Gilda Tachedjian, over lunch, as she explores the human microbiome - the colonies of bacteria that inhabit our bodies and are essential for our good health and survival.

Professor Tachedjian will explain various aspects of the microbiome, its role in health and disease, and our research in this field.

While the research is only in its infancy, the potential of this field of research is amazing.

Gifts and Wills will be one of the growing areas of support for charities and the way that they fund their work in the future. Burnet is no different and relies on the community’s assistance to help drive its research forward.

Find out how important charitable gifts in Wills are to the visionary work that Burnet undertakes.

You are also encouraged to start the conversation about the need for charitable gifts in Wills and find out more about Include a Charity Week initiatives. The annual campaign is part of a worldwide movement involving many European countries, USA, Canada and New Zealand.
