2017 Australasian Viral Hepatitis Elimination Conference

Burnet Institute research will feature prominently at the 2017 Australasian Viral Hepatitis Elimination Conference in Cairns from Thursday 10 to Friday 11 August.

Professor Margaret Hellard and Dr Jacquie Richmond are among the keynote speakers, and presenters include Dr Joseph Doyle, Dr Evelyn Wong, Dr Nick Scott and Sally von Bibra.

Dr Rachel Sacks-Davis will chair the session on modelling and surveillance, while Associate Professor David Anderson, Stelliana Goutzamanis, Dr Alisa Pedrana, Shuli Rawson, and Caroline van Gemert have poster presentations.

This inaugural Australasian Viral Hepatitis Elimination Conference aims to gather those working in the field of viral hepatitis – as well as policy makers, researchers, primary health care providers, community and other individuals committed towards virtual hepatitis elimination.

The program will present the latest scientific developments and knowledge, and offer opportunities for structured dialogue assessing where we are, evaluating lessons learnt, in discussing our major issues towards charting the Australasian response to viral hepatitis.
