Uncertainty. Job loss. Isolation.

Help young Australians navigate the COVID-19 pandemic.

While the entire population has been impacted by COVID-19, young people are being disproportionately impacted by joblessness, insecure work, interrupted studies and reduced social connectivity.

In the past five years there has been increasing concern among parents, grandparents, carers, teachers and health professionals about mental health issues, loneliness and isolation among young people. COVID-19 has made that much worse.

Coping with COVID-19 Study

“My current research project, Coping with COVID-19, is tapping directly into the experiences of young people in order to craft advice to government and health care providers specifically about the support needed by young people. It’s offering real-life, real-time solutions to young Australians experiencing loneliness, isolation and challenges to their mental health.

“Perhaps most importantly, it’s offering young people a chance to be heard, a voice – it’s giving them a stake in their own future.

“I desperately need funding to continue my research. My goal is to raise $20,000 and every single dollar counts. I believe passionately in this project and the benefit it will provide to the young people in our lives, and I ask for your support today.”
