Everyday Zoe Saulep and other Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies research officers go out to remote villages in PNG to combat a deadly foe. Their enemy is the biggest killer in the history of humanity: MALARIA.
Globally, the number of malaria deaths has halved since 2000. But in hard-to-reach places like PNG, malaria is still spreading like a vengeance. And vulnerable mothers and children are the most susceptible victims.
Zoe and our team of research officers are testing mums and babies for malaria with a small device the size of a finger. It delivers a result in just 20 minutes and gives them the best chance to be treated early and survive malaria. This is all part of our groundbreaking Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies research program.
We urgently need new supplies of this rapid malaria test to save precious lives. Will you help?
Here are four very practical ways you can make a difference.
To create and translate knowledge into better health, so no-one is left behind.
