Improving the health of vulnerable communities and changing lives is at the heart of what we do and who we are.
We urgently need to raise $19,000 to close the funding gap and reach our target of $125,000 to save newborns in Papua New Guinea (PNG).
Need assistance? Please call us on +61 3 9282 2111 and quote your unique donation ID '4d1cfb' so that we can assist you.
Every year thousands of newborns in PNG die from preventable causes in their first month of life.
Often they are born weak and premature because their mothers don’t receive adequate care throughout pregnancy. This is a tragedy that we’re ready to stop.
You can help us reach mothers and babies in PNG by making an online gift now.
This is how you can help:
We have a plan
The Saving Newborn Lives Appeal is supporting Burnet’s broader project in PNG called Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies.
With your support we will reach 700 mothers in PNG’s East New Britain province over the next 12 months. We will monitor their health to ensure they stay healthy and receive quality care in the lead up to, during and after birth.
We know that preventing babies from dying begins with helping mothers. If a mother is healthy her baby has a much higher chance of being born at full-term and surviving.
To create and translate knowledge into better health, so no-one is left behind.
