You can help Burnet save lives!

We need your help.

Can you support us to make a tangible difference to the lives of thousands of poor and vulnerable women and children in PNG?

The Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies research program is aimed at saving lives.

It’s a five year effort aimed at providing life-saving health care for women and children through translational and community research.

High quality, innovative research is crucial to ensuring that the most effective interventions reach those most in need in PNG in a highly cost efficient way.

Governments and aid agencies can only do so much, so creative solutions like Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies research program are needed.

Burnet is also asking the philanthropic and corporate sectors to get behind the initiative and support this much-needed research.

A woman in Papua New Guinea is 80 times more likely to die in childbirth than a woman in Australia.

Two-thirds of newborn deaths in PNG are preventable.

Donations will go directly to long-term, in-country research programs.

"The appalling rate of maternal and infant mortality in PNG is not shifting - that is why we urgently need support for our Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies program,"

Professor Brendan Crabb, Director and CEO of Burnet Institute.
