While around 40 per cent of all deaths in Australia are due to cancer, new treatments are helping more and more Australians survive and live healthy lives. These treatments are the direct result of years of medical research.
The Sir Zelman Cowen Cancer Foundation aims to help continue the outstanding results achieved through cancer research in Australia. The Foundation secures, invests and allocates funds to support quality biomedical research at the Burnet Institute that will develop new and more effective ways to treat cancer and so improve the lives of people with cancer, their families and loved ones.
