Saturday December 1st was International World AIDS Day. For the fourth consecutive year the Burnet Institute held its World AIDS Day concert, as a free festival of music and information in support of a healthier world.
The crowds were jumping and dancing to the sounds of Cousin Leonard, Josh Owen, Slinky Minx, Whitley, Illzilla, Kinematic, Tess Henderson, TRS, Ousu and Chiara Hunter. Former Australian Idol star Cosima De Vito took to the stage and performed a number of tracks from her new album THIS IS NOW.
YouTube was also at this event, going live with the biggest offline community gathering in Australia. A competition was held to find the ‘best’ video clip of the day, with the winning clips appearing on the super screen at Federation Square during the concert, while other winners will see their clips appears on on the World AIDS Day.com website.
