The Burnet Institute is pleased to announce the first ever Brisbane City Romp, which will be launched by Brisbane Lord Mayor Campbell Newman on Australia Day long weekend.

Brisbanites of all ages can participate in this challenging team-based event, that’s part treasure hunt, part ‘Amazing Race’, and part puzzle.
Over 10,000 Melburnians took to the streets during the Melbourne City Romp, now this incredible mass participation event is hitting the streets of Brisbane.

With $100,000 worth of random prizes to be won this clean, environmentally friendly, non-sporty day out will allow participants to discover a Brisbane they never knew existed while raising some much-needed funds to combat some of the world’s worst diseases.

With a time limit of just four hours, and equipped with only a map, clue sheet and mobile phone, teams of between two and six people will travel by foot and public transport, to a variety of checkpoint location, answering cryptic questions at each one.

A wide range of questions will be used to suit all competitors, who will compete in one of the following Romp categories - ‘Family & Friends Romp’, ‘Corporate Romp’, ‘School Romp’ and ‘University Romp’. Some of Brisbane’s most iconic historical and cultural locations will provide the back drops to this event.

This incredible day of education, exercise and entertainment will provided much needed funds for the Burnet Institute’s diverse medical research and public health programs.
