MAM 2012: Molecular Approaches to Malaria

MAM2012 will focus on the latest developments in malaria research, covering the spectrum in molecular advances from protein structure and single molecule imaging, cell biology and pathogenesis, right through to host immunity, systems biology and the latest developments in drug discovery/resistance and vaccines – all with an emphasis on cutting edge molecular approaches.

  • Burnet CEO and malaria researcher, Professor Brendan Crabb will present at the Conference.
  • Dr Freya Fowkes, Head of Malaria Epidemiology Group in the Centre for Population Health & Centre for Immunology will Chair one of the sessions
  • Michelle Boyle, a PhD student in Dr James Beeson’s Malaria Research: Immunity, Vaccines laboratory in the Centre for Immunology, will give an Oral Presentation.
